JUDGED AND CONDEMNED
No trial! The law is handed down to all of us, but I have seen that the curse of being a woman is that even when the man flouts the law, somehow the woman sustains the damages. Hilarious, huh! Not at all if you are that woman.
My side of the story wasn't heard. The only question I got was, "Do you know this man?" And this was enough to draw every conclusion and exact punishment. Your naivety or misinformation is no excuse; guess that's why many a woman walks in deep fear and inverted suspicion of every man. See, you can never be too sure. Hah!
The day I heard this statement, "It doesn't matter even if you were raped?" I realised I would have solace in none of the places I knew to; places I called home. Come to think of it; "What could beat rape to a living woman?" So you see if you had something a little less than that, you don't have a case. Intrigues of our living together.
So what really happened? I made a daring choice and damned the consequences. I looked dead into the face of fear and said not this time. And now I look into the eyes of my decision and he is a blessing everyday.
So what is my case?
