Journey To SelfLove

The journey to loving yourself

By K FPublished 2 days ago 1 min read

Darkness once became a dear friend of mine, holding me in its suffocating grasp.

The demons that followed made their bed next to mine.

No compass to guide me to safety.

Just an endless void which had become of my life.

Out of the blue shined a ray of sun that burned through my darkest nights.

She was the only one I could want; addicted to her light.

Her passion like a storm rumbling the very stone built walls placed to keep the demons inside.

Her voice cracked the surface and the monsters faded into nothingness.

The fire in her soul melting the cold barrier that captivated my heart.

The voices of doubt have been silenced.

Is this what it’s like to hear my own thoughts?

To hear silence for the first time when I close my eyes?

To feel at peace?

To finally feeling safe?

The day Self Love saved my life.
