It's just a stomach ache

Just as a starving fool would,

you swallowed all of their sweet words.

shotgun loaded and ready to blow some minds.

words you knew you had to be careful with,

but you didn’t care back then.

aim. wait… pull the trigger.

standing there, oblivious to it all.

boundaries so weak, now you’re tripping over

the empty casings of their meaningless lines.

Every single one of them.

the damage is done.

shotgun loaded and ready to blow some hearts

they fired at will, left you with voids to fill.

but what for?

power.

control.

admiration.

they want it all.

And now you have to pretend

the only thing you’re dealing with

is a stomach ache.
