It rained today.
I was late.
Sometimes I don't remember the things I ate.
Sometimes I sweat when it's cold outside.
I don't directly look, but the sun still hurts my eyes.
I enjoy apples, that includes the ones with pines.
I walked pass the trash about 5 times.
It be like that.
Fell asleep with the bathroom light on.
Had hit repeat on my favorite song.
I'm napping now but not for long.
It be like that.
I had a glass of wine, then added 2.
Mixing drinks, I know, but that's just what I do.
There's a switch in my hip, now my shoe has a lil dip.
Im tryna heal so I can feel, keep that crusty peel off my lips.
I keep bumping the wound and I've mis-placed my chapstick.
It be like that.
The cat came before the mouse.
Beware of level one living be it a condo, apartment, or house.
The cat left before the mouse.

These boats need a captain, but every body's jumping ship.

Magic carpets, tax returns
Water the grass and dust the fern.
Is it easier to be the teacher or harder to learn?
I have plenty questions, and I look to the village,
I stand ten toes down in the middle of pilferage.
I believe in the past and I believe in the future
Im presently comparing which one was cuter.
It's pretty ugly right now and thats ok.
But remember I told you, it rained today.

The River's Due
The river in our village was everything. Giver of life, bringer of death. It provided you with good fortune or stole your future. It was where the priests baptized us and the grandmothers blessed us afterward, in between the washing. The river’s spirit whispered to us all, every day of our lives. When someone was lost to the river, those same traveling priests claimed God had called them home. We nodded to make them feel better, but we knew it was the river that had come calling for its due. We may have come to accept Jesus as our savior, but had our doubts he would have tried to walk our river.
