Israel - The Heart of the World

Awaken the globe with nightlights

By Rowan Finley Published about a year ago 1 min read

upside down candles drip wax from the ceiling

old men make promises, as they’re kneeling

feathers tickle mountain tops

bouncy balls turn into gum drops

but no one will eat them except the brave

little girls sweat and whine through heat wave

paper houses burn

the devil’s had his turn

now we march and proclaim

why we’re alive, and that we’ve said no to shame

ground shakes and the world groans

all the sincere and true destroy their phones

the heart of the world is Israel

for the people, prayerful comfort to feel

open their eyes to see the saving horse

before the wicked world blows them off course

arteries and veins flow to Israelian heart

the trumpets and shofar horns start

time is setting like the sun in the evening

the true will free them and bring reprieving
