Is an Affair Worth It?

Oh, let me give you all a piece of advice, assuming you’re still naive enough to buy into this whole affair thing? Huge mess. Wrecked everything. My social circle? Gone. Everyone's whispering, judging. Everyone seems to want to see me fail, even if they don’t speak of it outright, it feels like I cannot even show my face anywhere.

And the kids? Since then, they have not looked at me the same way as they used to. They put their trust and respect and expect that it will be reciprocated, but alas, they lost it. Anyway, you know we were really close, like thug life partners. This we are left with now is just distance. Makes me sick.

Work's not much better. I thought it wouldn’t work there but as we know the word travels around the world very fast. The jokes that were initially directed at friends are now followed by everyone giving me odd stares. ‘Forget about the promotions, all I am working to achieve for now is to swim and not drown.’

Look, I know. It’s not always that you get to live in the moment, you find yourself thinking about it and you feel it will be so fun. But let me tell you, that spark that is so paramount in the beginning is not long-lived.

What you're left with is a pile of wreckage: The marriage breakdown, family disintegration, and the lack of proper working opportunity.

This simple and sensible preventive wording will help people to think before they act in an utterly stupid way. Can one satisfy a single desire through a series of short-term sexual relationships? Trust me, it's not. Not even close.
