In the Back Alley

The Shadow of Eternal Love

In the dark I walk down,

As the sun begins to frown,

In the path I walk down,

As my feelings begin to drown,

In the light I see the loss,

A fight with another boss,

The life of another way,

Without having to pay,

By myself I walk,

Without the peace of the city talk,

In the dark I pray,

To see the light of another day,

To have the sky open above,

And feel my spirit lift like a dove,

Alone in the dark I hear a sound,

As my spirit feels bound,

From the shadow an image comes,

A feeling only for some,

As i gaze upon the eyes,

My soul allies,

In the back alley.
