In shadows deep, where whispers creep

In shadows deep, where whispers creep

By Shirsendu ChakmaPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

In shadows deep, where whispers creep,

A lonely soul, in silence weeps.

No solace found, on barren ground,

Hope's fragile flame, no longer bound.

The heart, once light, now filled with night,

Each passing day, a fading light.

Memories sting, like thorns that cling,

Of joy's sweet song, no longer to sing.

The world outside, a painted lie,

Where laughter rings, and tears all dry.

But here within, the walls confine,

A prisoner trapped, in sorrow's shrine.

No gentle hand, to understand,

The weight of grief, upon this land.

Aching sighs, beneath cold skies,

As dreams depart, with tearful eyes.

The moon, a witness, pale and wan,

To battles fought, and battles won,

Yet scars remain, a constant pain,

Aching reminder, of love's sweet rain.

So fades the day, in shades of gray,

And in the night, the soul will stray.

Lost in despair, with burdens to bear,

A silent plea, on the empty air.

For solace sought, in dreams untaught,

Where solace lies, beyond all thought.

Perhaps someday, the sun will break,

And from this darkness, a new heart awake.
