Imprisoned Between the Walls
Confined within these four unforgiving walls
Confined within these four unforgiving walls,
My spirit yearns to soar, yet it stalls.
Barricaded by barriers, both seen and unseen,
I'm trapped in a world that's far from serene.
The bars that confine me, a constant reminder,
Of the freedom I once had, now grown dimmer.
Each day, I pace these halls, searching for a way out,
Longing for the open sky, beyond this cell's stout.
The echoes of my footsteps, a mournful refrain,
Reverberating through the corridors, a ceaseless strain.
The walls, they close in, a suffocating embrace,
Denying me the chance to find my rightful place.
I press my hands against the cold, unyielding steel,
Seeking a path to liberation, a chance to heal.
But the boundaries remain, a relentless, tangible bind,
Constraining not just my body, but my very mind.
In the stillness of the night, I hear the whispers of the past,
Memories of a life once free, a future that could not last.
The weight of my captivity, a heavy, unforgiving load,
Crushing my spirit, leaving me lost on this solitary road.
Yet, within the confines of this prison, a glimmer of hope remains,
A spark that refuses to be extinguished, despite the chains.
I'll keep pushing forward, never giving in to despair,
For one day, I'll find the strength to break free, beyond this lair.
Until then, I'll endure, my resolve unwavering and true,
Knowing that the walls that bind me, I'll one day bid adieu.
For freedom, the ultimate prize, is worth the arduous fight,
And I'll never stop striving to reclaim my rightful, deserved light.
