I slipped into you like a favorite pair of jeans.

a letter for my beloved

I slipped into you like a pair of favorite jeans

you hang tight and let loose in all the right places.

our adventures - worn into the cuffs. We’ve covered a lot of ground.

My heart got out the good plates for you, matching forks and knives.

My soul uses its outside voice to say “I love you” and often. It echos in your chest.

We light birthday candles every day, each moment a forever celebration.

A revelation.

Sometimes I want to go back to the beginning. I walk backwards but it doesn’t work.

I hope on the next ride we find each other.

Id forgo heaven to love you all over again
