I see the rain

Trickling slowly

Down the glass pane

Onto the land below me

.

My fingers feel very cold

As I press them against the glass

My anxiety has increased tenfold

Though I’m riding first-class

.

Secluded, abandoned, I begin to feel numb.

I feel the guitar of my heart ceasing to strum

Lost and alone, I feel like a crumb

To the darkness, I want to succumb.

.

I feel shadows breathing in my ears

As it creeps along my spine

Whispers of my deepest fears

I have always dreaded flying

.

In the air, I feel too high

I shudder at the thought of having to fly

I never did like being in the sky

I’m only here because the time was nigh

.

Onto the land below me

Down the glass pane

Trickling slowly

I see the rain
