In life, it’s okay to part ways with grace,

Appreciate those who love and care in your space.

Honor those who are truthful and sincere,

They all deserve your thanks, let that be clear.

To those who don’t value it, just calmly say,

I know how to appreciate, and I’m okay to go my own way.

Letting go doesn’t mean giving up the fight,

It’s when hope is gone, and it doesn’t feel right.

Leaving someone isn’t ’cause your love is small,

It’s when you’ve had enough and feel it all.

Expecting too much from just one heart,

When dreams are crushed, it’s time to part.

Without big hopes, you’ll find a new start,

Choosing to trust yourself, is a fresh part.

Not ’cause you’ve suddenly grown strong,

But love’s hurt made you feel wronged for so long.

I can’t see a reason to trust in another,

No promises heal a love’s smother,

No regrets can fix what’s broken and torn,

When love is lost, and hearts are worn.

Swap hearts for hearts, or let it be done,

True love needs care from everyone.

Don’t compare, but keep your conscience clear,

Don’t expect forever, but cherish what’s here.

Don’t ask for a love that lasts all your days,

But hope you’ll leave with no regrets in your gaze.

In life, do your best, and fate will play its part,

Being human depends on a kind heart.

Feelings are true when they come from the soul,

If you’re not honest, trust won’t be your goal.

If you’re not steady and down-to-earth in your way,

Honesty and trust will slowly decay.

No one is foolish, they just don’t always speak,

Fake words and indifference make love weak.

The water may cool, and your heart may be hurt,

But knowing when to let go is wisdom’s birth.

Don’t waste love that’s endlessly kind,

Don’t hurt a heart that gives without a bind.

Growing up means sometimes we must part,

Cherish what’s dear, and free your heart.

Never forget what’s worth holding near,

And don’t force what’s meant to disappear.

With you, life’s sweet as a cake’s fine icing,

Without you, it’s complete, love is still enticing.

“I know how to cherish, and I’m willing to release”
