I Choose Not to Blame You
in the garden of anguish
where the roses grow wild
i find a thorn you left behind.
it pierces my tender heart
and paints my soul in hues of crimson
but i choose not to blame you
for the storms that sweep the sky
or for the whispers that haunt the night
but in the spaces between your words
i discover a silence that speaks volumes
as the sun sets
on the ocean of our dreams
i dip my quill in the ink of my tears
and write a lullaby
to the memories we shared
i choose not to blame you
for the scorching sands of time
that slippling through the fingers
of our love
no, i choose to blame
the wind that carried them away
in the shadows of my heart
i cradle the echoes of your laughter
and weave a tapestry
of the moments we shared
beneath the moonlit sky
i choose not to blame you
for the labyrinth of emotions
that ensnared us both
instead, i find solace
in the beauty of our tangled paths
as i walk alone
through the garden of my dreams
i still see the thorn
but it's been softened by the petals
of a blooming rose
i choose not to blame you
for the pain we've known
but thank you, instead
for the love we've sown
