I am a poet

I am a poet, I was made from grief-

From the day my little doggie ran away from home to the day my father died

Somewhere in between all that, right before I drowned in death I honed my gift of bleeding ink and wrote down all my sorrows. A poet is born from immensity, to write out all our woes, but we never leave the space we’re in for the pain is how we feel them close. We bind into our journals all the losses of our lives, it gives us something to hold onto, to bleed our pain into. We will never be ok, but we will write until we die. We are poets.
