Herstory: Celebrating Women's History Month
A Poem for the Women Who Paved the Way
In March, we celebrate herstory,
The women who shaped our destiny,
From warriors to poets to scientists,
Their contributions are significant.
They fought for our right,
To earn equal pay and have a voice,
To break down the limits and shatter glass ceilings,
To pave the way for future feelings.
Women like Sojourner Truth,
Who fought for freedom in her youth,
And Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who never gave up,
Advocating for justice until her last breath.
There's Ada Lovelace, who wrote code,
And Marie Curie, who discovered radioactivity,
Their work has had a intense impact,
On science, technology, and society.
We also honor the artists and writers,
Whose words and works inspired us,
From Maya Angelou to Frida Kahlo,
Their legacies continue to glow.
And let's not forget the activists,
Who march and rally for our rights,
From Malala Yousafzai to Gloria Steinem,
Their courage and determination shine bright.
So here's to the women who builds the way,
Who fought for the rights, day after day,
May we continue to carry their torch,
And build a better world, together, of course.
Thank you.
