Hello

A Poem For My Daughter

Hello, goodbye

Pretty hazel eyes.

Golden tones of summer sun,

But you are gone once summer is done.

Can't I keep you here, just a little longer?

Days and days go by,

Our bond just gets stronger.

Winter chill comes to an end,

We will be back when it is spring again.

Hello, goodbye

Pretty hazel eyes.

Twinkling like the grass after a fresh spring rain.

But when will we see you again?

Days and days get longer,

And our bond, it's still stronger.

We will be back when the days are warm, and the sun shines longer.

Hello, goodbye

Pretty hazel eyes.
