he says he loves me
and i entertain it.
he says he loves me,
but i just met him yesterday.
he says he loves me,
but i don’t know his name.
he says he loves me
and i entertain it,
just to see, just to see
if anything changes.
i think we don’t know
what that means to the other,
i told him, i told him,
i told him, so...
he says he loves me.
he says he loves me,
but i tell him it’s too fast.
he says he loves me,
but it feels more like a trap.
he says he loves me,
and there’s no going back.
i know it isn’t real,
but i like the distraction.
and, i think that doesn’t mean
what you think it means to me,
i told him, i told him,
i told him, so...
he says he loves me.
he says he loves me,
but it caught me by surprise
he says he loves me,
but that doesn’t seem right.
he says he loves me,
and I'd like to see him try.
who knows what he’s thinking,
or what he wants to find.
i'm as simple as i seem
with nothing to hide,
i told him, i told him,
i told him, so...
he says he loves me.
he says he loves me,
but doesn’t get it quite right.
he says he loves me,
and says the idea is mine.
he says he loves me,
but can't tell me why.
this isn’t how it feels-
the love for which i'd fight.
he doesn’t want to hear
that the fault isn’t mine,
i told him, i told him,
i told him, so...
he says he loves me.
