Hardened Soul

A poem of misuse and the mind

By Emery St. WaynePublished about a year ago 1 min read

Dark and nostalgic , clear and precise.

The mind troubles , those who use it,

And appeases those , who misuse it.

In the shadows of thought, we wander lost,

Seeking answers, our souls tempest-tossed.

Dark and nostalgic, memories unwind,

A tapestry woven of threads entwined.

Clear and precise, the intellect's domain,

Yet riddles linger, causing hearts to strain.

For the mind troubles, a labyrinthine maze,

Where secrets and mysteries forever blaze.

Those who use it, forge paths to explore,

Unraveling enigmas, seeking to implore.

With reason and logic, they make their stand,

Unraveling the fabric of this vast land.

But beware the allure, the siren's call,

For knowledge can both lift and make one fall.

And appeases those who misuse the power,

Corrupting hearts, souls devoured hour by hour.

With ill intent, they twist the truth and deceive,

Their webs of lies, a tangled web they weave.

Darkness seeps in, the light begins to fade,

As shadows dance upon the choices made.

Yet hope still shines, a beacon in the night,

To guide us through the darkness, shining bright.

Let wisdom be our guide, a steadfast friend,

As we journey through the mazes that won't end.

In unity, our strength, we'll face the test,

To use our minds for good, and be our best.

For in this world of thoughts, both deep and vast,

May love and knowledge help us hold steadfast.

Dark and nostalgic, clear and precise,

Let's seek the truth and let our hearts suffice.

With minds attuned to goodness and the right,

We'll find the way to bring forth a better light.
