GUESSINTOLOGY

a poem

By Aaron MorrisonPublished 2 months ago 1 min read
art by me

Traversing ‘cross this ancient land

Perhaps nimbly or quite plodding

Did I die from freezing cold

An asteroid or from flooding

Was I cloaked in scales or plumage

Was meat or plant my food

Of one thing we can be certain

You’ll use my corpse for fuel

You’ll guess and guess in ignorance

Yet label with such certainty

Then mix my bones with other’s bones

And create what is not me
