Guardian Angel

As Close as Possible

Here you are again

Pulling me towards

The cotton candy clouds

Without even knowing that

I am collapsed on rock bottom

I can never thank you enough

For healing my wounds

Without even touching them

Or evaporating my sadness

Without hearing what caused it

I know guardian angels are

Supposed to have wings

And blonde hair and halos

But you are smiling at me

When I need you to be

And you are teasing me

When I need to laugh

And that is as close to

Having a guardian angel

As I ever want to get
