Gone

A Poem About Breaking

By Sasha StormanPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

I'm writing to tell you what I've done, to admit to you that I took what we had and I broke it,

Don't think that you weren't special, that what we had wasn't enough, that you didn't fill up every part of me,

I did it because I was weak, I did it because there is something wrong with me and I don't deserve love, I certainly don't deserve your love,

Don't look at me like that, don't look at me like we're strangers, like everything that passed between us in the years we've been together was a lie,

I'll leave now because I know you need me gone, I know you need everything we were to disappear for awhile,

But I do love you and I know if you consider it you do love me too, so goodbye my sweet and I'm sorry.
