I'm Not Ted

Soft pink,

Gold link,

Your shoe next to my shoe.

Cool air,

True pair,

Your feet on my feet.

We walk,

We talk,

Your hand in my hand.

Gold band,

Our hand,

For me is for you.

Nap time,

Your mind,

Name that isn't mine.

You wake,

I fake,

Try to push it from my mind.

I cry,

You try,

To love me if only in the day.

Dark sees,

Me flee,

To hide from the pain.

Cut deep,

I weep,

But come back for when you wake.

What you said,

Is in my head,

Ted I can not be.
