Cotton sucked the life out of the farmland

Cotton picking sucked the life out of man.

From any school of choice his color was banned.

Yet this determined young man had a plan.

His passion for flowers and legumes saved the cropland.

Forcing racially closed minds to gracefully expand.

From peanuts, to soybeans, sweet potatoes and pecans.

Offers for fortune and fame came in large demand.

No simple-minded man could ever understand.

A humble and brilliant man simply living out God’s plan.
