Fresh Seed

The Consumption Cycle

Four mice, already, buried in the dirt.

Only the cat and wild things should know what it is to hold a warm kill.

If we just stopped killing things for a few minutes, or even a day.

Can you even picture it?

Only, the bodies keep stacking up and in different places.

We've got a thousand slick-talkers for every issue.

A million chickens in a pen, though?

We all require satiety.

Only that's different.

This must be how the cat feels.

They come to the feeder willingly, every day.

It's so easy, after all, to kill a bird.
