Father Time Working The New Math

I Don’t Get It

Ten turned into 20

And then 20 doubled up

40 settled into 50 until time took another jump

Now 50’s barely hanging on

And 60’s waiting in the wings

I never was much good at math and calculating things

But the numbers don’t add up

How could I be my parents age

You know it’s getting pretty rough

When you search google for a mage

Someone to cast a spell

And turn back the hands of time

To a place I loved so well

Where my body matched my mind

Till then, I better get to knowing

That familiar stranger in the mirror

The way that things are going

I’ll be the only stranger here

The art of living life and just accepting what comes I guess. Good poem.
