Farewell, Worrisome Wallet

Dear Wallet,

It's time to say goodbye,

We've been through a lot, you and I.

You've been the cause of worry,

And I've spent too much time in a hurry.

I chased after you day and night,

To keep you full and in sight.

To buy things I thought I needed,

To keep myself and others seeded.

But there are things you can't provide,

That I need to feel alive.

You can't buy clean air or undo the harm,

Of the damage we do for money and charm.

You can't buy empathy or affection,

For the human heart craves connection.

To share the beauty of the world we live in,

And to cherish the moments we're given.

You can't buy time when health declines,

Or a second chance to make things right.

So, I've decided to chase what really matters,

And leave you behind, with all your clatters.

I'm changing address, and never looking back,

It's time for me to pick up life's slack.

I'm leaving you behind, to the pavement below,

For the next person to find, to reap what you sow.

You'll be empty, with no value to give,

For I've learned that it's not in you to live.

I'm going to chase life, with all my might,

And never again, will you cause me such a plight.

So goodbye, dear wallet, it's been a ride,

But now it's time to set you aside.

I'm moving on, with a heart full of love,

And a spirit soaring, like a free flying dove.
