Ask tough questions
Not just stand in line and obey
Laws or methods we never understand
Taken action can be difficult
Plus riddled with failure
Failure isn't such a bad thing
Don't think of failure as a negative
Instead look at it as a positive
A lesson you will learn from
And grow like a plant
Some seeds hardly grow
While others grow into enormous plants
They live and thrive for decades
Helping progress life forward
If we don't plant the seed
Nothing will grow
No matter what challenge you're facing
Take it on
And thrive

The Spring
The sun was high when Lance pulled off the road and into the dusty lot of the service station. The sign back at the hairpin--the first sign in a long time--said they just rolled into Hatter’s Creek, Population 63. It was small enough it didn’t appear on the handmap in Shelby’s lap, yet here it stood, the first backwater township on the fringes of the National Park. The plan was to gas up, restock the snack bag, and press on into the wilderness.
