A jaded "nonet" love poem

In a dream, God gifted me your smile.

Our summer steam made promises -

rich petrichor to quench my

empty Nile. You feigned the

seraph - strumming me,

your little harp...

{{devilry}}

you are -

vile.

    Love the analogy of the harp to insinuate being played. Great job

    I love the use of “summer steam” to refer to the relationship. It confers its intensity but also its impermanence. Great work!

    Crikey. I was swept along with the romance and sensuality of the opening few lines...then bam, like Dana said! You are absolutely nailing these every single time, Gina!
