eyes

(lingering)

By Sara Published 2 months ago 1 min read

i will stare into your eyes,

my gaze will l i n g e r

over your face

that makes my breath falter

and i will look away.

it will hurt when you’re gone.

so love me now

because tomorrow is a day

that will never come

for us.

the sun will forever

remain suspended

in the sky

along with your arms

i will curse myself

for allowing myself

to find home in.

if i will not be home

forever

i should not go

now

because oblivion only kisses my neck

during the night

but longing is my ghost.

i’ll miss you when you’re gone.

can you kill the stars in the sky?
