Everywhere I Turn

Different experience

Everywhere I turn, it’s uncomfortable.

I hear such strange rumbles,

and then I start to tumble in my sleep.

Is this all?

I kick in my sleep,

ready for something more…

Am I changing?

Am I growing?

Is it showing?

It’s hard, not really knowing.

Pushing for something more.

Reaching for something more,

but I just feel stuck here.

I feel like I can’t breathe.

Minute by minute…

I wonder, why am I here?

Then…

there’s bright lights…

everything sounds different…

everything looks different…

everything smells different…

everything is different!

The rope has been cut…

I hear words, “You’ve been born, baby!”

So, this is the other side?
