Every summer vacation
Me and my two brothers
We would go visit our grandparents.
We used to enjoy going there.
Life was quite pleasant and intriguing.
We were quite happy.
Grandpa had bought many toys for us.
We knew we had all we needed to play with.
Our grandmother would bake for us.
We were treated with compassion.
We never missed home.
We never missed our parents, either.
But dearth happened!
It has reduced our happiness.
Our grandfather died.
Our grandmother was old.
Our parents sent her to geriatric care.
We were also growing.
We had to realize that our grandmother was old.
We moved on, but we continued to visit her.
Until she passes away, too.
