Even Then, They Will Know

Submission for the four-letter-only-words love poem challenge.

With lust laze,

they will know—

With lone, wild,

bold wish—

(they that hope)

—will burn

Dash over sky’n moon,

span over eons,

spun like dust with wind

Even then,

they will hold that crux pain with each hand—

(tomb)

—will bear left open

W I D E

They will fuse

They will blow

Even then,

they will seek

Even then,

they will hiss

They will howl like dogs into that cold moon

None will hear them.

Even then,

they will know—

love poems
