Drawing for DISTRACTION

An acrostic poem

Drawing focuses my agitated mind

Inspiration flows in a continuous stream

Sating my brain which ceases to whirl

Thoughts, dark and foreboding, stop

Running down like an old clock

Apprehension rises in a vapour cloud

Condensing into peaceful calm

Tantalising ideas slowly crystalise

Into solid lines and perceptible forms

Ordinary life loosens its formidable grip

Necessary release from relentless stress
