Don't be too long

She doesn't like the latest tunes,

and her attitude changes like the weather

Sometimes she acts as if we never

Shared the same room

To her it's just "whatever"

She'll sit herself down on the tube,

and take herself off to wherever

Sure, you've had a lot of "Rainy Nights In Soho"

I'll be waiting when you get home

Down South girl don't be too long

She doesn't like the latest tunes,

and her attitude changes like the weather

Sometimes she acts as if we never

Shared the same room

To her it's just "whatever"

She'll sit herself down on the tube,

and take herself off to wherever

Sure, you've had a lot of "Rainy Nights In Soho"

I'll be waiting when you get home

Down South girl don't be too long
