Almost out of dope.
Quickly gathering all her
Change and bills.
How else will she cope…
Without the pills and dope,
Life is no joke.
Shit, she’s a dollar short.
Uh oh, that was her last snort…
Not wanting to steal—
But to her, it’s a big deal…
She can’t control the itch.
It causes her to glitch.
Do such terrible things.
She stole from her family.
Even pawned their rings.
Made promises to do better
Then cut the strings.
Once she got what she wanted…
Once she got her fix…
She was gone.
This is what this life got her—
Chasing her own tail.
No time to do her own nails.
The only time she gets a break,
Is when she needs money for bail.
