Don't Wake

A Poem

Keep your hand in mine

Just one last time.

Don't let go.

Hush down now.

Rest your head.

Close your eyes.

Relax against my flesh.

Cuddle me close.

Feel my warmth

Spread upon your finger tips.

Hear my voice fill

Your mind with sweet music.

Taste the sweetness I have

For you within my heart.

Stay asleep and don't wake.

For when you do,

I will be gone.
