Doctor, Dear Doctor

A Plea

By Rowan Finley Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Don't pretend like you know it all

Doctor, Dear Doctor

I am a person, not a rag doll

Doctor, Dear Doctor

There is no need to act like God

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Don't be a jerk wad

Doctor, Dear Doctor

I have a name

Doctor, Dear Doctor

I am not just a diagnosis to proclaim

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Please, have a heart

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Don't break me apart

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Where is your bedside manner?

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Your title is by no means a banner

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Please try to listen

Doctor, Dear Doctor

I think there is something you're missing

Doctor, Dear Doctor

Science can only go so far

Doctor, Dear Doctor

So don't scoff at the miraculous or slightly bizarre
