to stay loyal to him, she signed a contract
but he goes missing for days, with no contact
now she has committed several crimes
by cheating on him multiple times
in a way, she does not mean any harm
she is just forced to find comfort in other’s arms
where he disappears to, is unknown
and she just hates being alone
he does not realise the effect
because he finds pleasure in the neglect
she waits hours for a reply, though can see he is online
her needs are put at the very end of his long line
a web of lies, he sold her a dream
currently he is chasing after a teen
he does not know that she knows
she hates that she cannot let him go
they are not forced to stay together
but she cannot imagine finding someone better
most of you would be certain…
that she is just a bad person
terrible, most would say
send him a warning sign to stay away
but personally, i have to disagree
because, this girl is me

Confessions of an Empath
The birds are chirping, and the sun is shining in a cloudless July sky. The vibrancy promises a beautiful day, but the cooing of the Mourning Dove perched on the powerlines seems to be more fitting than the lively songs of the robin flitting through the trees. The melancholic calls of the dove cloak the world in a sadness that hangs like tattered drapes.
