Dino Resentment

Once powerful, but now...

We were kings once...

Roaming the lands with our heads held high

indomitable beings with no fear

our purpose resounding and clear

to stand tall among peasants, never felled by

no one.

From Rex to Trikes

and Raptors that strike

species covering every gamut in sight.

No one standing against us in fright

and no one daring to take over with might.

We really were safe from every plight

until we saw sky rocks shining so bright.

-

Powerful we once were

Even large beings would lie in front of us and purr

Till we ended up beneath the earth mixed up and stirred

Resentment now seeding from how we emerged

Out of death measured by the gallon to serve

Lesser beings... we'd rather be returned beneath earth.
