Rain fell like an upside down ocean on the tin roof
The chorus of raindrops sang all day
Their voices were comforting and therapeutic
Delighted to just be home and relaxed
Rose petals embraced and repelled the rain all at once
They were immune to the water from above
They tasted it and appreciated it all so dearly
Loving the gentle stimulating elements
Though when heavy storms came, they dreaded those days
It was impressive how they knew when storms were cooking
Feeling an ache in their thorny joints...they knew
Intuitively knowing and attempting to deny it all at the same time
The sun got the upper hand over those storms eventually
Sunbathing the wet flowers and drying off their bodies
Nature's shower was the best kind
Rain bath to sun bath and the cycle repeated itself
