“Darling you are one of a kind, I would never hurt you” He says I am unique like a blade of grass

“You’re unique like a blade of grass, although from the same source they each grow so differently.” He smiles while he says it too, almost like he did me a favor by saying it. I felt flustered the first time around, but not anymore – it has grown old like the tread of a bike tire. They all tend to do the bare minimum, but I jump like a bunny on steroids.

Their hands will cross the lower of my back as if its needed to hold me upright, but I do not need them – I can survive this world on my own without their sayings and mottos that they intend for me to learn, live and breathe by.
