Dance

Words

By Samantha ElmorePublished 7 years ago 1 min read

You are not movable

You are stone

I am water

Crashing over you,

Slowly discoloring your surface

Sometimes I am fierce

Filled with decisions

And emotion to do so.

Other times I am still

Numb in a large body

So quiet the stone aches for fury.

To be touched by the abrasive wave

You are not movable.

You are stone

I try and move you

Place you some place else

For me, to stretch further

For you, to save your surface

Will we dance like this for eternity?
