Monday's cup is full of coffee,
Tuesday’s cup smells like toffee.
Wednesday's cup is for the joy of living,
Thursday's cup is energy giving.
Friday's cup is on the go,
Saturday's cup is drunk real slow.
And the cup drunk on the seventh day,
Is hot and sweet, for love and play.
Sound familiar? It may do, it may not.
Cup of the Day is a reworking of the children's poem from the 1800's, Monday's Child (see below for a link to a version of the original), meant to help children learn the days of the week. It has also been said to predict what the personality of a child will be like. An Old Wive's Tale, but still a bit of fun.
