Chronicles of Sad Souls

Collection of Poems

By Pore CamaraPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

01.

When tears are springs on your face

Wailing are music to your ears

And pain are pumped into your veins

Remember

Remember I once wanted to feel that much alive.

2.

I fixed your wings

You broke mine

As you’re soaring high

I learnt to climb

Knowing that when you need a fix again

You’ll never find me.

3.

You raided my sanctuary

Thought you saved me

You loved me and all my demons

Each moments suffocated me

I love the dark and you love me

I was no damsel in distress

I despised your shining armor

Reminds me of everything I hate about light

This cold dark place is my own heaven.

4.

As he exhaled his last

She inhaled at last

Her therapist said freedom is a fight

She thought as she cleaned up the bloody mess.

5. A clergyman once said

“Heaven is in the clouds above and

Hell is the grounds below”

He sent her six feet deep

Back to her birthplace.

About the Creator

Pore Camara

I’m known as Cammy. One thing I have not been able to outgrow is my inquisitive nature. This has made me restless, overthink and even passionate about everything. The good thing is that it got me reading and writing most of the time.
