Amidst the twinkling lights, this Christmas arrives,

A bittersweet echo, as my heart quietly cries.

It's the first without Dad, his presence now gone,

In every cherished tradition, his absence drawn.

The laughter we shared, the stories we told,

Now memories cherished, in my heart they unfold.

The tree adorned brightly, yet feels incomplete,

Without his loving smile, so warm and sweet.

The festive table set, his chair left bare,

A void in the room, a feeling so rare.

His favorite dishes, the joy we once knew,

Now tinged with a longing, a sorrow anew.

Each twinkling light, each snowflake's descent,

Reminds me of moments, time well spent.

His love and guidance, a beacon so bright,

Illuminate this Christmas, in the quiet night.

Though he's not here in the physical embrace,

His spirit lingers, his love I trace.

In every fond memory, he'll forever reside,

His essence, his wisdom, a cherished guide.

So, this Christmas is different, the ache may remain,

Yet Dad's love endures, an eternal refrain.

In the quiet moments, his presence I'll feel,

His love, his spirit, time cannot steal.
