CHERRY BLOSSOM DREAM
I had a cherry blossom dream
Filled with silver poppies
Blowing ants in the wind
On a horse shoe driveway
~
Daisies as a carpet
Along the garden beds
Smiling down at me
As I lay along the lawn.
~
A steadfast tree trunk
Inscribed with my name
Eucalyptus smells
Drop like raining leaves
~
A hydrangea buffet
To line the walkway
A gender reveal
Hues of pink and blue.
~
A bougainvillea archway
That steps to my wish
Where my silver heart
Lives again in my dreams.

Read this poem with the song in the background that plays in my head when I think of the silver haired man who shaped my entire life in the home I miss more than my childhood.

We miss you Poppy, especially your dancing in the lounge room with Nanny to ‘Love is in the air’ 💔🌸
