Mountain big and bold,
That heals my heart from sorrow,
A true friend you are.
Thanks everybody so much for reading. This is a simple poem and my entry for the Mountain High-Ku challenge. It'd be awesome to read some of the native Japanese poems and interpret them in their own language. I imagine there is some history with the creation of the high-ku, and am curious if Japanese, as a language, lends itself better to these unique poems as I know their grammar, and word structure is different. Language is fascinating, that's a definite!
This poem has a picture of Moraine Lake, a very famous little lake beside Lake Louise located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada
