Regret can sting after a relationship ends, especially when the other person doesn’t feel the same way.

But here’s the thing: regret about a relationship is different. Unlike a bad trip where you can book a new adventure, you can’t go back and change how someone else felt.

The important thing to remember is that regret can be a clue. It might be a sign that this relationship wasn’t meant to be. Both people need to want to be together for things to work out.

Instead of holding onto regret, use it as a chance to move forward. This person might not have been “the one,” but there’s someone out there who will love you back.

Focus on the future, what you can control, and know that this experience can help you find a happier, more fulfilling relationship.
