I'm singing a lullaby for my daughter,

and she begins to stay calm,

She touches my face with her palm

of her tiny hand.

I put her in bed and then lay next to her,

she decides to climb on me and then

she gives me a smile.

Meanwhile, my husband is eating

his key lime pie, I tell him to get me a piece

once she is fully asleep.

I decide to put her stuffed Dalmatian puppy next to her.

I set my alarm and then give a goodnight kiss to my daughter.

hoping she has magical dreams so that when she wakes up

she will have a gleaming face.

    Adorable! Great poem!

  • So wonderful when parents choose to use this time for love and connection... to often it becomes a battleground!
