A poem about hope.

Oh, Autumn tree,

Are you sad?

Your leaves are falling,

I wish I could feel your emotions,

To empathize with you

During such a transformation.

Oh, Autumn tree,

Do you cry?

Do you miss your leaves?

I suspect you do,

Can I help you in some way?

I can console you in every way.

Oh, Autumn tree,

Winter is coming,

Are you prepared for it?

For all the darkness and distress,

For the perennial cold winds and snow,

Stay strong as I pray for you.

Oh, Autumn tree,

You teach me resilience,

To believe in my strengths;

You teach me perseverance,

During troubled times,

During days of self-doubt,

To stay deeply rooted

And wait for spring,

Just like you always do with such grace and poise.

Oh, Autumn tree,

Don’t you worry,

You are not alone,

I am a lot like you,

Waiting for my spring;

While you can count on yours,

I can only wish for mine.
